Nick Lambert
Nick Lambert is an Honorary Research Fellow with the Vasari Research Centre for Art & Technology at Birkbeck, University of London. His research interests include the application of technology in contemporary art and visual culture; digital art and interfaces; and the relation of art and science. He has engaged with artists and theorists in the field over many years and written on the history of computer art, the evolution of interfaces, and display technologies. He has developed artworks for immersive environments and exhibited in London, New York, and elsewhere. Dr Lambert has also been principal investigator for the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and European Union (EU) projects, contributing to research as a postgraduate doctoral supervisor, external examiner, and course developer for institutions in the UK and globally. He also works with The Lumen Prize and is Chair of the Computer Arts Society, a Specialist Group of The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS).
